About the Artist

The artist, Olen Pruitt, painted commissioned traditional style portraits
for many years in both the private and corporate sectors.  He is still
available for a limited number of commissions of the less traditional
style.

Although he paints a wide and diverse range of subjects, his specialty
is in the figurative realistic style of contemporary post-romanticism
movement, which has become very popular.

Using the inherent skills of a fine artist, he has gained an international
reputation using his unique artistic lighting methods in the world of
digital artistic photography.  The demand for his photographic
services especially in the modeling portfolio work continues to
increase.  

His main passion continues to be his oil paintings, with his most
popular being the ones painted on a panel covered in gold leaf.  
Olen exhibits often in fine art galleries and is a published artist.  He
has also painted a book cover, including the illustrations inside. One
of his paintings was recently selected to be printed as a billboard to
promote the arts in Birmingham.
